Applications Steering Committee

Charge

The Applications Steering Committee will provide strategic oversight of existing and proposed enterprise application systems*. The committee will ensure that enterprise applications are aligned with the university strategic plans and provide appropriate guidance for planning, prioritizing, implementing, and development of these systems.

In pursuit of this charge the ASC will strive to:

• Set overall priorities for application projects, resources, upgrades and integration
• Review of annual planning documents related to enterprise applications systems 
• Report to President's Council on current projects, support activities and new applications
• Oversee the University-wide use of and recommend appropriate technical support for enterprise applications
• Participate in the development of university policies relating to application technologies
• Authorize all base line changes to the Banner system

Any unresolved issues or concerns of the Steering Committee will be forwarded to the President's Council for final determination.

Members of the Application Steering Committee will be appointed by respective Vice Presidents of each division and serve for a two year term.  Members may be reappointed for additional terms.  The Steering Committee will maintain continuity by staggered rotations or other method to ensure appropriate transitions.
