Ferris State University seeks additional specialized accreditation whenever it exists to meet the needs of our students and employers and add further distinction to our colleges and programs.
Accreditation generally requires an intensive self-evaluation that incorporates feedback from employers, faculty, students, and others followed by a review visit conducted by other professionals in the relevant field. It also typically requires producing extensive evidence that verifies the quality of the program, such as licensure pass rates, graduation rates, learning achievements, placement rates, and more.
