Specialized Accreditation
Ferris State University seeks additional specialized accreditation whenever it exists
to meet the needs of our students and employers and add further distinction to our
colleges and programs.
Accreditation generally requires an intensive self-evaluation that incorporates feedback
from employers, faculty, students, and others followed by a review visit conducted
by other professionals in the relevant field. It also typically requires producing
extensive evidence that verifies the quality of the program, such as licensure pass
rates, graduation rates, learning achievements, placement rates, and more.
Colleges and Programs at Ferris State University are Accredited by:
Ferris State University is a member in good standing of the Association for Advancing Quality in Educator Preparation (AAQEP), a national accrediting organization recognized by the Council for Higher Education
Accreditation. The programs listed below have been awarded initial accreditation by
AAQEP through December 31, 2030. Accreditation acknowledges that a program prepares effective educators who continue
to grow as professionals and has demonstrated the commitment and capacity to maintain
quality.
