Our purpose is to serve and protect the students, faculty, staff and visitors of Ferris State University. To further the academic pursuits of Ferris in two ways: actually keeping people and property safe and in helping to create an environment where people feel completely safe.

The highest-ranking officer at the Ferris State University Department of Public Safety is the Police Chief and Director who oversees the agency by implementing strategic objectives for the greater good of the department and the Ferris community.
