IDEA
The IDEA is a nationally normed and validated instrument that is offered through IDEA education, a non-profit organization in Kansas that has served higher education since 1975. Several Ferris colleges and individual faculty utilize the IDEA form. Significant in its approach are 1) Course evaluations are compared to national benchmarks according to disciplines, and 2) faculty are evaluated most on the objectives they have selected for their courses. SAI
SAI stands for Student Assessment of Instruction and was developed internal to Ferris many years ago. For many years, the SAI was the only form in use. There are no tests of reliability or validity.
