You must be an admitted student at Ferris State University and have a username and password to log into the MyScholarships portal. If you do not yet have an active username and password, you will not be able to apply for scholarships until you are admitted.
Check your username and password. If you still can't log in, please contact the IT Services at (231) 591-4822.
You may apply for as many scholarships as you are willing to submit. Putting in the work for scholarship opportunities increases your chances to reduce or limit student loan debt.
You will receive an email notification from either the Financial Aid office or your College with details about your scholarship. In addition, the scholarship will be added to your 2022-23 financial aid award by August 1, 2022. You will receive an email notification that your financial aid award notice has changed. When you view your financial aid award, you will be able to see the scholarship on your award notice (even if you do not have any other financial aid).
In most cases, scholarships will be divided evenly between fall and spring semester. The funds will apply directly to your e-bill approximately the third week of each semester. If the scholarship is on your financial aid award, the billing office will be able to see the scholarship as if it had already paid on your account - provided you meet the enrollment requirements for the award (example - you are enrolled full-time).
The MyScholarships system will open on December 15. The MyScholarships portal will close at midnight on February 28. Make sure that you have submitted all applications that you wish to be considered for prior to the deadline. That includes submitting resumes, letters of recommendation, essays, etc. Once the system closes, you will not be able to access or submit incomplete applications.

Congratulations! If you have been selected as the recipient of a scholarship through the MyScholarships portal, the scholarship should be added to your financial aid award offer by August 1. All scholarship awards require that you complete a thank you note for the donor. If your scholarship is not on your award offer by August 1, please send an email to [email protected] for additional assistance. Please include your full name, student ID number and the name of the scholarship missing from your award in your email.
