Plastics Assembly Lab

Plastics students run a wide variety of assembly equipment as part of the PLTS 411 (Plastics Decorating & Assembly) course. This includes ultrasonic welding, fusion bonding, induction welding, solvent bonding, adhesive bonding, hot-gas welding, and hot air / cold staking. In addition, they experiment with a variety of surface treatment methods to see how these affect the strength of the assembled product.
