Manufacturing engineers figure out how to make products - anything from tools to toys, cars to consumer goods, electronics to earthmovers.
The program is suitable for students who have completed two-year programs in CAD Drafting and Tool Design Technology, Manufacturing Tooling Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Plastics Technology, Rubber Technology or Welding Technology. MFGE students learn to identify and [INVALID] materials based on production requirements. They work closely with computer-aided design equipment (CAD/CAM) and conduct time studies and complete cost estimates. Students learn to solve manufacturing problems, formulate layout requirements, understand management control systems, justify and [INVALID] quality equipment and automated systems and design a total product manufacturing system.
Students take a broad range of courses in several programs including math, psychology, engineering, mechanics, plastics technology and welding along with required MFGE courses. After graduation students can expect great career opportunities with starting salaries over $60,000. Our graduates are placed throughout the United States and internationally.
