What is Articulation?
If a student meets program entrance requirements at the time of admission to the university, Articulation (advanced placement) credits may be awarded.
Students and programs making application for Articulation (advanced placement) must also meet the requirements as outlined below.
HEQT 101 - Heavy Equipment Maintenance Fundamentals - 2 credits
- Students must have earned, from the career center program, a 'B' grade or 3.0 GPA out of a 4-point system in the technical area in which they are applying for articulation.
- Career center curriculum must include instructional units as stated in the HEQT 101 - Heavy Equipment Maintenance Fundamentals course outline. To receive a current copy of the course outline, contact the Heavy Equipment program office (231) 591-2810.
HEQT 120 - Heavy Equipment Engine Technology - 4 credits
- Students must have earned, from the career center program, a 'B' grade or 3.0 GPA out of a 4-point system in the technical area in which they are applying for articulation.
- Successfully complete the ASE certification test in Medium/Heavy Truck Diesel Engines
Program Entrance Requirement/s: MATH ACT score of 19 or higher.
