Setting a Home Page in your Browser

The following instructions will show you how to set a home page in your browser of choice.  The instructions can help even if your browser is not listed, as most modern browser are organized in a similar fashion.

  • 1.  Open Google Chrome, click on the three vertical dots at the right of the window.

    2.  In the menu, select Settings.

    3.  Select "Open a specific page or set of pages" and click on Set pages.

    4.  In Startup pages, enter the address of webpage you want to appear on startup.  Press enter when you finish typing, and click the OK button once you're done.

    5.  Close the browser and re-open it; you should see the page (or pages) you selected as your hompage.

  • 1.  Open Edge,  and click on the three horizontal dots at the right of the window.

     2.  In the menu, select Settings.

     3.  In Settings select "A specific page or pages" and type the address of the page you want as your homepage in the text box.  Press the enter key when you are done.  If you want, select the [x] beside about:start, to remove it from your homepages.

     4.  This is what it might look like when you are done.

     5.  Close the web browser, re-open it, and you should see the page or pages you assigned as your homepage(s).

  • 1.  Open Firefox, click on the three horizontal bars to the right of the window.

    2.  Select the large Options button.

    3.  Make sure that the "When Firefox starts:" drop-down menu is set to "Show my home page.

    4.  Under "Home Page:", type the address of the webpage you want as your homepage.

    5.  Close and re-open your browser, and you see the page you chose as your homepage.
