Outcome Measurement Schedule

Since the General Education program is primarily delivered as a series of courses, our main measures of programmatic success are derived from course-level measures. Each academic semester, instructors for courses with a General Education attributes share their evidence of student learning. One specified Ferris Learning Outcome (FLO) is measured in every General Education Competency area each semester. Due to modest summer enrollments, the same FLO is measured in the spring and summer semesters. This rotation ensures that all four FLOs for each Competency are evaluated in a rolling two-year cycle.

• FLO 1 is measured in the fall of even-numbered years
• FLO 2 is measured in the spring and summer of odd-numbered years
• FLO 3 is measured in the fall of odd-numbered years
• FLO 4 is measured in the spring and summer of even-numbered years
