Humanities Studies

Humanities Studies focuses on trying to understand our lives and the world around us by considering issues within the contexts of philosophy, religious studies, art history and gender studies, as well as a study of the created artifacts of human existence from the classics to current popular culture.

We offer a range of minors including art history, philosophy, film studies, women and gender studies, and religious studies.

Humanities Studies has also traditionally been a major contributor to Ferris State University’s General Education program, offering courses in Cultural Enrichment, Global Consciousness, and Race, Ethnicity and Gender.
