Thanks to the generous support of alumni, corporate partners and friends, and faculty and staff, Ferris State University's College of Engineering Technology offers a variety of scholarships to assist students in financing their education. The deadline to apply is February 28 to be considered for the next academic year's scholarships.

Daniel Tyler Endowment Fund

Scholarship amount varies annually

  • Part-time or full-time student enrolled in the College of Engineering Technology
  • Minimum GPA of 3.00
  • Financial need is considered*
  • Preference given to students in Manufacturing Engineering Technology
  • Additional Requirements: Must have documented disability.

David P. Prior Endowed Scholarship

Scholarship amount varies annually

  • College of Engineering Technology student who is a sophomore or higher
  • Minimum GPA of 2.75
  • Financial need is considered*
  • Preference given to native-born Americans (U.S. citizens)

Ben C and Madge L Fairman Memorial Technology Scholarship

Scholarship amount varies annually

  • Undergraduate student enrolled in the College of Engineering Technology
  • Minimum GPA of 3.00
  • Financial need is considered*

Lauretta B. Kelso-Battle Endowed Scholarship

Scholarship amount varies annually

  • Undergraduate student enrolled in the College of Engineering Technology
  • Minimum GPA of 3.50
  • Financial need is NOT considered

Mary T. Creswell Endowed Scholarship

Scholarship amount varies annually

  • Undergraduate student enrolled in the College of Engineering Technology
  • Will be a junior or senior when they receive the award
  • Minimum GPA of 3.50
  • Financial need is NOT considered
  • Submit two personal references and two references from Ferris faculty or staff
  • Additional Requirements: Demonstrated leadership abilities and the potential to make a significant contribution to their chosen profession.

McLoughlin Family Endowed Scholarship

Scholarship amount varies annually

  • Undergraduate student enrolled in the College of Engineering Technology
  • Minimum GPA of 2.75
  • Financial need is considered*
  • Preference given to children of K&M Machine-Fabricating, Inc. employees and if none apply, residents of Michigan counties Cass, Berrien and Van Buren.

National Truck & Equipment Association Louis Kleinstiver Memorial Endowed Scholarship

Scholarship amount varies annually

  • Undergraduate students majoring in Automotive Engineering Technology or Heavy Equipment Service Engineering Technology or Welding Engineering Technology
  • Minimum GPA of 3.00
  • Financial need is considered*

Oldfield Family Educational Travel Scholarship Endowment

Scholarship amount varies annually

  • Undergraduate sophomore, junior or senior enrolled in the College of Engineering Technology
  • GPA not considered
  • Financial need is NOT considered
  • Preference given to students who are planning to travel abroad for their program of study; secondly to students traveling nationally for their field of study.

Theta Alpha Sigma Endowed Scholarship

Scholarship amount varies annually

  • Undergraduate student enrolled in the College of Engineering Technology
  • Will be a junior or senior when they receive the award
  • Minimum GPA of 3.00
  • Financial need is considered*

Vanden Bos Family Endowed Scholarship

Scholarship amount varies annually

  • Undergraduate student enrolled in the College of Engineering Technology
  • Will be a sophomore when they receive the award majoring in:
    • CAD Drafting & Tool Design
    • Manufacturing Technology
    • Manufacturing Engineering Technology
    • Mechanical Engineering Technology
    • Product Design Engineering
    • Plastics Engineering Technology
  • Minimum GPA of 2.00
  • Financial need is considered*
  • Preference given to eligible students who demonstrate experience in manufacturing and/or mechanical aptitude through work, participation in professional organizations, registered student organization or more.

Lacks Enterprises, Inc. Annual Scholarship

Scholarship amount varies annually
Awarded through the Office of Scholarships and Financial Aid

  • Full-time undergraduate student who is a dependent of a Lacks Enterprise, Inc. employee majoring in Manufacturing Engineering Technology, Plastics Engineering Technology or Business Management
  • Minimum GPA of 3.00 for current students or H.S. GPA of 2.50 for incoming freshmen
  • Financial need is NOT considered
