Amerikam, Inc. Endowed Scholarship
Scholarship amount varies annually
- Undergraduate student enrolled in an approved major within the Manufacturing Department
- GPA is not considered
- Financial need is NOT considered
- Additional Requirements: Demonstrated leadership abilities as well as an understanding
of the roles of innovation, productivity, flexibility and continuous improvement,
as key indicators in the constant evolving world of manufacturing
ASQ Dr. Joseph M. Juran Endowed Scholarship
Scholarship amount varies annually
- The student shall be enrolled in at least 6 credit hours at Ferris State University
in any degree program where Quality Sciences is part of the curriculum.
- Minimum GPA of 2.50
- Financial need is NOT considered
- Additional Requirements: Demonstrated student involvement in professional organizations
and leadership abilities.
- Must show intention of entering automotive industry upon graduation.
H.S. Die and Engineering, Inc. Endowed Scholarship
Scholarship amount varies annually
- Undergraduate student enrolled in an approved major within the Manufacturing Department
- Must be a sophomore, junior or senior when they receive the award
- Minimum GPA of 3.00
- Financial need is NOT considered
- Preference shall be given to H.S. Die and Engineering employees and their children
Hurco Introduction to Applications Engineering Scholarship
Covers cost of FSU MFGE related summer course & living expenses while employed as
summer intern at Hurco.
- Full-time student enrolled in any Manufacturing Program
- Minimum GPA of 2.50
- Financial need is NOT considered
- Additional Requirements: Must be enrolled full-time during the fall & spring semesters
of the year of application and completed the MFGT 212 CNC course at FSU in MFGT. Acceptance
of this award requires the student to assume responsibility for employment at Hurco
Companies, Inc. in Indianapolis, IN for a minimum of twelve weeks
James and Georgia Nicholas Scholarship Endowment
Scholarship amount varies annually
- Full-time sophomore, junior or senior student majoring in the Manufacturing Technology
or Manufacturing Engineering Technology
- Minimum GPA of 2.50
- Financial need is considered*
- Preference shall be given to State of Michigan residents
- Preference also shall be given to eligible students who have demonstrated, through
a written essay and professional resume, current and continuing employment, a strong
work ethic, and future career goals in the manufacturing industry. The essay and resume
should reflect the following characteristics as provided by Mr. Nicholas and shall
be rated (1-5) by the standing scholarship committee:
- Good character: honesty, no cheating
- Results oriented, an achiever
- Possess a "will to win"
- Curiosity driven
- Studious: ones attitude toward problem solving in the manufacturing industry, critical
thinking skills.
Steven M. Brown Memorial Endowed Scholarship
Scholarship amount varies annually
- Full-time student enrolled in Mechanical Engineering Technology or Manufacturing Engineering
Technology
- GPA is not considered
- Financial need is NOT considered
- Additional Requirements: Preference is given to students diagnosed with dyslexia by
appropriate medical personnel qualified to make such determination
