Based on interviews with human-rights defenders conducted by Kerry Kennedy Cuomo, this play represents the personal experiences of many of the world’s activists, including many Nobel Prize winners. Other performers represent evangelists of evil, malicious and sarcastic embodiments of fear and repression. These oppressors whisper and threaten, determined to undermine the message from the heroes and heroines.
Play by Ariel Dorfman.
