Michigan Indian Tuition Waiver

The Michigan Indian Tuition Waiver is awarded to students who are at least ¼ Native American, are an enrolled member of a U.S. federally recognized tribe, and have been residents of the state of Michigan for at least one year. The Michigan Indian Tuition Waiver Application must be completed by the student and his/her tribe and returned to the Michigan Department of Civil Rights, along with proof of residency.

After the student has been certified as eligible, The Michigan Department of Civil Rights will send Ferris State University a letter confirming the student's eligibility. A student must have Ferris tuition charges in order for the Michigan Indian Tuition Waiver to be applied to their Ferris account.
