Faculty Research Grant Due Dates

The Faculty Research Committee is currently accepting grant applications for the Spring 2024 cycle.

The Faculty Research Grant Program has been established by the university to provide support for board-appointed faculty interested in engaging in research. All Ferris State faculty (that is, tenured, tenure track, and non-tenure track faculty) are eligible to apply. It is expected that faculty who are granted support through the Faculty Research Grant Program will successfully complete a noteworthy project or progress to a sufficient extent so as to qualify for continuing long-term support from an outside source.  Please note that these grants are intended to act as a catalyst for faculty involvement in research activity and are not for development of classroom material. We particularly encourage application from faculty members that have not yet participated in this program, and those that plan to involve Ferris students in their projects

Grant applications must be sent to the Academic Senate office or emailed to [email protected] by the cycle due date.

Changes and reminders about the grant submission process:

  • The Faculty Research Committee will accept applications from both tenure track and non-tenure track faculty.
  • There is a strict maximum dollar-amount of $5,000 for proposals
  • Student wages on proposal budgets must be consistent with established University wage rates
  • Applications should be e-mailed to [email protected].
  • Please copy the Chair of the Faculty Research Committee ([email protected]) when submitting the application.
  • Only electronic application submissions will be reviewed.
  • Proposals are due on April 5, 2024 by 4 p.m. (Submissions must have an e-mail time stamp of 4:00 p.m. or earlier by April 5 to be considered)
