The Rubber Minor is designed for students with an interest in the polymer and materials industries, offering hands-on experience that mirrors real-world material development and processing environments. Students engage in laboratory-based learning focused on rubber compounding, processing, and testing, gaining practical skills that are directly applicable in the workplace.

Through this program, students learn to identify the key components of rubber compounds and understand how these ingredients influence material performance and final product properties. They become proficient in using industry-standard compounding, processing, and testing equipment, as well as analyzing data and preparing detailed technical reports.

Graduates of the Rubber Minor are equipped with specialized, in-demand skills that open doors to a wide range of career opportunities within the polymer, rubber, and materials manufacturing industries.
