Ryan Kauffman, MBA

Ryan Kauffman is a seasoned executive, entrepreneur, and educator with over 30 years of experience in the HVACR, building automation, and mechanical systems industry. He is the President and Founder of Control Solutions, Inc. (CSI), a leading temperature controls and testing, adjusting, and balancing (TAB) firm operating across multiple branches and serving commercial, industrial, and institutional clients throughout the Midwest.
Under Ryan’s leadership, CSI has grown into a highly respected organization known for technical excellence, operational efficiency, and strong client partnerships. He has built and led teams of nearly 100 professionals while delivering complex automation and mechanical system solutions for major facilities, including healthcare campuses, pharmaceutical manufacturers, higher education institutions, and large commercial developments. His expertise spans building automation systems, mechanical system optimization, commissioning, testing and balancing, and organizational leadership.
In addition to his industry leadership, Ryan is deeply committed to advancing the HVACR profession through education and mentorship. He serves as an instructor in the HVACR program at Ferris State University, where he teaches future industry professionals and helps bridge the gap between academic training and real-world application. His passion for developing the next generation of engineers and technicians reflects his belief that strong technical education is essential to the long-term success of the industry.
Ryan holds both an Associate Degree in HVACR Technology and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Ferris State University. His combined technical expertise and business acumen allow him to effectively lead organizations, manage growth, and implement strategic initiatives that improve both operational performance and long-term enterprise value.
Throughout his career, Ryan has been recognized for his leadership, technical knowledge, and commitment to excellence. He continues to focus on growing strong organizations, mentoring future leaders, and contributing to the advancement of the HVACR and building automation industries.
