Biography

Mark has more than 25 years of experience in the construction industry providing client-focused leadership and management. With a focus on technology he has held positions as a Field Representative, Superintendent, Project Engineer, Project Manager, Estimator, Preconstruction Manager, Senior Virtual Construction and Design Coordinator, and Manager of Virtual Design and Construction.

After working as an Adjunct Professor in the area of construction technology, Mark transitioned into teaching full time at Ferris State University in the Construction Technology and Management Program. With a focus on construction technology, Mark is teaching and training the next generation of construction professionals using the same skills and abilities that made him successful in the construction industry. Mark also serves on the University Distinguished Teacher Award Committee, the CET Scholarship Committee, is a mentor in the Ferris Youth Initiative - Johnson Scholars Program, a ASC Region 3 Student Competition coach, a First Gen Student Ally, editor of the CTMG bi-annual publication The Builder, and member of the Tri-Alpha Honor Society.

In addition to providing consulting services Mark provides presentations and educational workshops to various companies, organizations, and groups on the topic of construction technology.

Mark is also a Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Michigan and provides mental health services at his private practice. At his practice he helps people with relationship issues, communication skills, lifestyle changes, anxiety, depression, grief and loss, career challenges, and much more. He has taken his passion for helping others and experience in the construction industry, and has been addressing the issue of mental health issues in construction in an effort to help change the lives of those working to build our communities.
