The Disability and Accessibility Resource Center (DARC) is committed to promoting student access and success.
Disability Services supports students with disabilities in learning and living environments on campus. Students with disabilities are defined by the ADA as “a person who has a physical or mental impairment that substantially limits one or more major life activities, a person who has a history or record of such an impairment, or a person who is perceived by others as having such an impairment” (2010). Examples of disability include sensory impairments, physical impairments, learning disabilities, mental health diagnoses, and chronic health issues.
In addition to disability services, our educational counselors empower all Ferris State University students, regardless of disability status, by offering them the tools and knowledge necessary to Ferris-forward into bright, fulfilling futures. This includes tips and strategies for studying, time management, and much more.
