Ocular Disease Resident
Dr. Akhdar is the current Ocular Disease Resident at the John. D. Dingell VAMC. She graduated from Wayne State University with a Bachelor’s Degree of Science in Nutrition in 2013 and from the University of Detroit Mercy with a Master’s Degree in Health Services Administration in 2016. She attended the Michigan College of Optometry and received her Doctor of Optometry in 2021. After completion of her residency, she plans on obtaining a position as a clinical optometrist with a precepting approach for the future generation of optometrists.
