New Faculty and Staff Resource Guide
Information you will need to bring on your first day:
Acceptable documents for completing the I-9 Form.
Your driver’s license number and license plate number for your FSU parking permit (if needed).
All new employees attend the FSU New Employee Orientation within the first 4-6 weeks of employment.
When you arrive on campus and complete your new employee paperwork you will receive a temporary parking permit.
As part of your new employee paperwork you will provide vehicle registration information and a permanent parking permit will be sent to you from the Ferris State University Public Safety office.
The document needed to obtain your FSU ID card is part of your new employee paperwork. All employees of Ferris should obtain and FSU ID card. This ID will give you access to certain discounts and services as well as provide access to certain campus facilities. In some cases you will need an FSU ID card to access the facility where you will be working.
Access to needed FSU systems will be determined by your department/supervisor during your first few days of employment.
During New Employee Orientation, if you are eligible you will be given information and attend a benefits orientation. To review benefits by employee classification please visit our benefits web page.
Your department will be responsible to request keys for you through a work order to Facilities Management.
The employee self service web-site, titled “Ferris360” is a resource portal for employees to view/print your pay information, change your address, and access internal systems. You will receive a computing ID and password that will allow you to access information.
You will be provided information to participate in several of our on-line trainings. These trainings are designed to assist you in acclimating to your higher education employer. You will be given instructions on how to participate at New Employee Orientation.
