Teaching and Exhibits

The University Archives and Special Collections supports the teaching mission of Ferris State University.

The University Archives and Special Collections supports Ferris State University by making its collections available for classes during the year. The University Archivist will instruct students on how to find and use the primary resources in the University Archives and Special Collections or to help suggest and locate materials for faculty bringing their classes to Special Collections.

The University Archives reading room can sit approximately 20 students. It is available for individual class meetings if archival materials are being used. If your class is too large for the space, the University Archivist will bring materials to an alternate location.

The University Archivist also teaches FSUS classes about the mission of Ferris and the history of the university and founder Woodbridge Ferris.

The University Archives and Special Collections also serves the University through historic displays around the campus. Temporary displays can also be set up for on-campus use.
