Ferris Collection

The Ferris Collection contains materials produced by Ferris State University and its employees. It includes theses, yearbooks, published histories and other historical reports. The collection consists of books, as well as as some audiovisual material. It also contains a few libraries of prominent individuals who were part of Ferris.

Michigan Collection

This collection focuses on Michigan history and in particular on the following counties: Lake, Mason, Mecosta, Muskegon, Newaygo, Oceana and Osceola. Materials include books, pamphlets and some electronic media.

Rare Books/Special Collections

The Rare Books/ Special Collections books focuses on publications which are rare either because of their age or because of some other unique quality.

Because this collection was gathered together because of its unique items, it is a section that is accessible by patrons but more secure so that it is preserved for future use. Materials are not checked out.

Materials only available by appointment and are in the Goldie T. Nott Room in the main library.

Richard Santer Great Lakes Basin Collection

The Richard Santer Great Lakes Basin Collection was named after geography faculty member Richard Santer. This is a collection of print resources he used in his research to define the boundaries and scope of the Great Lakes. It consists of approximately 50 publications which can be located by searching the library catalog

William Papo Printing Collection

The William Papo Printing Collection was named for printing faculty member William J. Papo. This is a collection of print resources about printing techniques and processes. It consists of approximately 100 publications dating from 1910-2002, which can be located by searching the library catalog
