To improve the extern's ability to:
- Improve diagnostic skills and efficiency
- Better undertsand private practice optometry in a rural area
- Become familiar with what conditions xan be observed locally and what conditions require referral fro treatment
It is the responsibility of the intern to find housing. Average apartment cost is $700-$1000/month.
