Minor
Locations:
The Geography Secondary Education Minor prepares students to teach geography at the high school level. Through courses such as GEOG 201 and GEOG 424, along with additional coursework in geographic concepts, regional studies, and teaching methods, students develop the knowledge and instructional skills needed to support engaging and meaningful classroom learning.
When paired with a secondary education major (in a content area other than Geography or Social Studies), this minor expands a graduate’s teaching certification, allowing them to teach in more than one subject area and broaden their professional opportunities in the education field.
