Minor
Locations:
The English Secondary Education Minor prepares students to teach English at the high school level, equipping them with a strong foundation in literature, composition, and language studies. Through coursework such as ENGL 260 and ENGL 302, students develop the knowledge and instructional strategies needed to guide students in reading, writing, critical thinking, and communication.
When paired with a Secondary Education major in another content area, this minor allows graduates to become certified to teach English as an additional endorsement. This flexibility enhances employability and expands classroom teaching opportunities across grade levels and districts.
