  • Reviews sponsor guidelines and RFAs instructions in detail
  • Works with faculty and staff in developing ideas into grant proposals
  • Coordinates on-campus approval process (Intent to Apply, Grant Routing)
  • Budget development including indirect cost determinations
  • Cayuse Grants Database Management
  • Assists with time and effort reporting
  • Assists with award close-out

Post-Award grant management responsibilities.
  • New award set up (E-fund)
  • Provides oversight and guidance on sponsor terms and conditions, and University policies and procedures
  • Invoicing and financial reporting
  • Prepares and provides special reporting to sponsoring agencies

Follow federal and state regulations
Ensures research projects are conducted ethically and in accordance with federal and state regulations, including Responsible Conduct of Research (RCR), disclosure of financial conflicts of interest and meeting reporting requirements. Assists with IRB and IBC requirements.

Works with faculty and staff members to develop and implement regulatory compliance programs to address the unique human and environmental needs of our academic colleges.
