Break Housing

Considerations for Breaks

The residence halls close during break periods and at the end of each semester. Students are expected to make plans in advance for other accommodations during the break periods. The dates of closure are published more than a year in advance and are outlined in the Housing and Dining Contract. Need for housing between semesters or other breaks are not means by which the university would cancel the Housing and Dining Contract.

Residents of Bond hall, East Campus Suites, and West Campus Apartments

Residents may elect to remain in their rooms during the various breaks in the academic calendar when the remainder of the residence halls are closed. Residents must live in Bond during the break to take advantage of this opportunity in the residence halls. Please note that Bond Hall break housing carries an additional charge to room and board payments.  Residents of East Campus Suites and West Campus Apartments may remain in their space during the break period at no additional charge.

Residents of Other Residence Halls

Residents can apply for break housing in Bond hall.  However, these students must contact [email protected] to gain access to the application.  Approval is based on room availability in Bond hall and individual student need.  All students must move to Bond hall for the break and cannot stay in their current assignment.  Students moving during break must permanently move to Bond hall for the semester.  Break housing carries an additional charge to room and board payments.
