Moving to campus for the first time is a huge moment! Follow these step-by-step instructions to get started. Remember, all students are required to live on campus unless you meet certain requirements.

Explore housing


Our halls are smoke-free and come with awesome amenities like internet, laundry facilities, a kitchen or kitchenette, and lots of good vibes. Explore them all to find the perfect fit for you.

Yada assessment


The Yada assessment will help you discover the "science of you" and build your own personal roadmap. You'll find this quick quiz in the MyHousing portal.

Sign your contract


Let's make it official! Head to Ferris360 and access the MyHousing portal. Click Contracts, Applications, and Forms from the menu and then choose the right contract type for you.

Pick your room


Call dibs on the best room early! Head to Ferris360 to access the MyHousing portal, then click on Room Selection then Select a Room or Suite from the menu. The sooner you complete this step, the more options you'll have, so hustle up!

Move in!


This is the exciting part! Pack your bags and prepare for an amazing new chapter as a Bulldog. Our move-in info page will have all the details as the big day approaches.

Who is required to live on campus?

You must live on campus unless:

  • You will be 19 years old  before September 1.
  • You have lived in a Ferris State residence hall for two full academic semesters.
  • You live in your parent/guardian's permanent home and it is within 50 road miles of the university's main campus.
