Bulldog Barbell Club

Bulldog Barbell Club

The purpose of the Bulldog Barbell Club organization is to educate students on the importance of physical fitness and to offer a community of individuals who value living an athletic lifestyle. Bulldog Barbell Club will also train people in the CrossFit style of physical fitness and nutrition to provide them with the ability to maintain an active and healthy lifestyle.

In a nutshell...we work hard, lift fast and heavy, push ourselves to the max everyday, and live to do it again the next day. We get stared at and made fun of, yet not many attempt what we do. We are a fun-loving bunch though! Our group and community is one of the strongest aspects of how we function so well. We support each other until the end of each workout. Looking forward to workout with you!

More about the Bulldog Barbell Club:

Welcome to a community that strives to improve our physical work capacity everyday. We do not settle for mediocrity, we work towards being the best possible version of ourselves mentally and physically. If you want to get in great shape, have fun, and be part of supportive competitive atmosphere then this is the right place for you!

CrossFit begins with a belief in fitness. The aim of CrossFit is to forge a broad, general and inclusive fitness. We have sought to build a program that will best prepare trainees for any physical contingency — not only for the unknown, but for the unknowable. After looking at all sport and physical tasks collectively, we asked what physical skills and adaptations would most universally lend themselves to performance advantage. Capacity culled from the intersection of all sports demands would quite logically lend itself well to all sport. In sum, our specialty is not specializing (http://community.crossfit.com/what-is-crossfit). In a nutshell...we work hard, lift fast and heavy, push ourselves to the max everyday, and live to do it again the next day. We get stared at and made fun of, yet not many attempt what we do. We are a fun-loving bunch! Our group community is one of the strongest aspects of how we function so well. We support each other until the end of each workout. Come give us a try!

We are strong advocates for breast cancer awareness and many other non-profit organizations. The girls in the club also give their time to help with the local Girls On The Run program, which teaches young girls about how to live an active healthy lifestyle. We look forward to any opportunities that arise with fundraising, volunteering, or serving the community.
