Ward was built in 1963 and was named after Mary Rood Ward. Mary Rood Ward was the Dean of Women from 1943-1951. She had worked her way up through the administration after starting as the business office assistant in 1931. In 1931, Ward was appointed as a faculty member.
Location on Campus
Ward Hall is located in South Campus. Ward is near the IRC, Business, the Market, the Rock Cafe. Ward has the shortest walking distance of any residence hall to the Rock Cafe and the Market.
