Ferris State University has had partnerships and a presence in Grand Rapids for more than 30 years. This year, the Growing Opportunity event will showcase partnerships, programs and alumni from the Grand Rapids community in a casual and engaging format. Kicking off this new format in 2023, we will focus on a specific area of Ferris and highlight its impact on students and our broader community.
This year, the focus will be athletics and its impact on students. Tony Annese, a
two-time national championship-winning head coach at Ferris, will share his insight
and strategy for creating a successful program. Through love, core values, and mission,
Coach Annese focuses on successful athletes on and off the field. Hear more about
his approach during his evening remarks.
Attendees at this reception-style event will enjoy delicious food and beverages, and
have an opportunity to meet coaches and students while networking with area supporters.
Proceeds from this event are matched 1:1 and support the West Michigan Opportunity Scholarship Fund at Ferris State University. This Fund benefits students from the West Michigan area who enroll at Ferris in Big Rapids, Grand Rapids, or at Kendall College of Art and Design.
