ANNUAL GIVING AT FERRIS STATE

Annual Giving builds relationships with thousands of people across the Ferris State University community through their annual financial support of the university. Annual gifts are an essential and critical source of funding. These gifts are available for immediate use and directly impact students and programs by providing financial support to the areas donors designate or to where the need is greatest. 

Donors may choose to designate gifts to more than 2,100 funds representing all colleges and programs across campus, in addition to many scholarships for Bulldog students. Donors may also choose to support The Fund for Ferris, our annual fund which is allocated by The Ferris Foundation to meet the most pressing needs of the university and its students. 

 

The Fund for Ferris, also known as the Ferris State University Annual Fund, was established to provide critical funding and adequate resources for the continued growth and most pressing needs of the university and its students. Donations to the Fund for Ferris are allocated by The Ferris Foundation Board of Directors and provide vital support for the areas of greatest need, allowing for a quick response to unforeseen challenges, opportunities, and initiatives. Your support helps ensure Ferris State remains a leader across the state of Michigan and beyond.

One Day for Dawgs is Ferris State University's annual Day of Giving. This fundraising event is dedicated to empowering groups across the Ferris community to raise funds for the causes they care most about. Our generous volunteers and donors have helped generate support for scholarships, programs, equipment, athletics, and more on One Day for Dawgs each year. Gifts of all sizes make a huge impact, not only by helping support students at Ferris but also by helping teams unlock matching funds and challenge gifts throughout the event. Giving Tuesday is a global day of giving held each year on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving. Ferris State University participates in Giving Tuesday by connecting the Ferris State community to an important cause that supports Bulldog students in need. While one cause is highlighted each year, any donors generously choosing to support Ferris State may dedicate their funds to any of the more than 2,100 existing funds at the university. Causes for Giving Tuesday have ranged from critical scholarship support to food and housing needs. This year, we are asking our Ferris Family to support the Bulldog Basic Needs Alliance (BBNA), which provides emergency assistance to current students facing food or housing insecurity that would otherwise jeopardize their ability to stay in school.
