The certificate is designed to prepare students and working professionals for careers in project management and prepare them to take Project Management Professional (PMP) or Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) exams. The Project Management Body of Knowledge is used as the global standard for project management and describes waterfall and Agile principles. Scrum is introduced as an emerging project management framework. Courses focus on project scheduling, budgeting, risk management, communication, team building, and procurement. Completing the project management certificate satisfies the number of contact hours required to take the PMP and CAPM exams.
