Biography

John C. Kriscenski is an Assistant Professor of Accountancy at Ferris State University. He is Certified Management Accountant (CMA) and also a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in Michigan, Connecticut ,and New York. His qualifications include a Bachelor of Science from the State University of New York at Stony Brook and a Master of Science in Accounting and Taxation from the University of Hartford. He brings with him professional experience from a regional public accounting firm where he served a broad client base that included high-net-worth individuals, start-up businesses and large, publicly traded companies. While in practice, he researched complex tax and accounting issues for his clients and reviewed federal and multi-state tax return filings.

Before coming to Ferris, John taught a diverse range of undergraduate and graduate courses in the Connecticut State University System as an assistant professor of accounting. He is actively involved with the accounting profession and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Connecticut Society of Certified Public Accountants and the American Accounting Association. In his spare time, he enjoys fishing in local rivers, going hiking in nature and volunteering for environmental cleanup events.
