Biography

Dr. Kinuthia is an Associate Professor of Computer Information Systems. Prior to joining Ferris State University, Dr. Kinuthia was an Assistant Professor of Information Systems at Nazareth College of Rochester. He has taught a wide range of courses in the Information Systems field.

Before his career in academia, Dr. Kinuthia gained 10 years of experience with AON Hewitt, a global human resource outsourcing company, where he was involved in designing, implementing and maintaining healthcare benefits management systems. During his time with AON, he worked with several clients including Discover Financial Services, Imperial Canadian Bank, Credit Suisse First Boston, Cintas, Detroit Energy (DTE), Northrop Grumman, and British Aerospace.

Dr. Kinuthia is actively involved in the information systems profession. He currently serves as an associate editor of the African Journal of Information Systems (AJIS). He is also an active member of the Association of Information Systems (AIS), where he has conducted several peer reviews and presented in their conference. In addition, he is an academic member of the Information Systems and Audit Control Association (ISACA), and a member of the Association of Information Technology Profession (AITP).
