Dr. Furstenberg joined the Ferris ISI program as a full-time faculty member in the fall of 2014. His wide industry experiences include multi-million-dollar retail corporations, small to medium enterprises, independent retail organizations, nonprofit, academic, and medical. He has held many positions at all levels in large and small organizations. Some of these include Chief Information Officer, Chief Operating Officer, Infrastructure Analyst, Systems Administrator, IT Security Analyst, and Cyber Security Consultant.
Dr. Furstenberg was an inaugural member of the State of Michigan’s Cyber Partners MIC3, retiring from these duties in 2024. MIC3 offers incident response services and cybersecurity training for public and private organizations as well as government municipalities
Dr. Furstenberg is a licensed Private Investigator focusing on digital forensics, cyber investigations, criminal underground, and cybercrime.
