Alisa graduated with a Bachelor's in Operations and Supply Management and an A.A.S in Accountancy. Alisa currently works as an International Logistics Coordinator with Orthman Manufacturing in Lexington, NE. As far as the OSM program she writes, "When prospective employers see that I have a lean driven curriculum they are intrigued, and it has always been a conversation starter. In my current role, I’ve used it to create work instructions and help create value stream maps." That's excellent, Alisa!
For advice to current/future OSM students she writes, "My internships were some of
my favorite times at Ferris and I took the opportunity to try out different roles
within the ops/supply chain world. There are many career paths to choose from in ops/supply
chain and having seen firsthand how different positions help drive a company forward
helped me figure out what I wanted to do when I graduated. So, my advice is that internships
are a great time to try the different roles. Get involved at your internships. Ask
for advice from your supervisors at your internships. From my experience, people are
willing to teach and mentor and you may never know just what kind of role will peak
your interests!"
Wow, such great advice! Thank you for offering your testament to the OSM program and
telling us more about your experiences in the industry! We hope your future endeavors
include staying connected with the Ferris Alumni family!
