OSM ALUMNI SPOTLIGHT: ALYCIA BURMEISTER

OSM Alumni Spotlight: Alycia Burmeister - B.S. Operations and Supply Management, 2022

Alycia Burmeister graduated in Spring of 2022 with a BS in Operations & Supply Management, with a concentration in Human Resources. She currently works as a co-owner at a small firm called Eagles Express Inc. 

As far as the OSM curriculum, she writes, "The OSM and Lean curriculum has really helped in my understanding of how different businesses work." Alycia also believes that her biggest achievement is her promotion towards the end of her degree from Operations Manager to an equal share Managing Partner. She explains, "They didn't want me to leave the company! Anything is possible with hard work and determination."

Alycia also provides some advice to current/future students when she writes, "Get to know the content by really trying to understand the concepts and linking them to real-life examples beyond the curriculum." She explains, "Grab each opportunity by the horns, and don't be afraid to step up and take charge. Mistakes will happen, but turn them into learning experiences and move on; sometimes, messing up is the best way to learn."
