College of Business 2023 Student Excellence Awards

Ferris College of Business Recognizes top Students

On Friday, April 28, the College of Business hosted its annual Student Excellence Award Ceremony. Recipients were welcomed to the David Eisler Center to be presented their award over dinner, featuring a keynote speaker.  

The awardee must receive a nomination by a College of Business Faculty member on the selection committee. The nominees are selected for demonstrating outstanding academic success, hard work, dedication, and leadership to the university community. Recipients of this award represent the top three percent of seniors in the College of Business. 

Specific criteria required for nomination includes a minimum GPA of 3.25, enrollment status as an undergraduate senior with 90+ credits or a graduate student with 19+ credits, and evidence of intellectual growth and superior academic performance. 

In addition to these requirements, selection was based on scholarship, participation, and leadership in academic and professional student organizations, extra-curricular activities, citizenship, and service.  

2023 recipients of the Student Excellence Award include: Sydney Paul, Zachery Leslie, Evan Wilson, Joshua Price, Sydney Kubiak, Hailey Dard, Elana Edwards, Derek Franciosi, Silas Bear, Kyle Thompson, Brendan Caswell, Maria Vongphachanh, Elise Rieman, Brian Balok, Jude Ngugi, Amy McArdle, Austin Sampson, Jan Koupil, Cameron Smith, Rebecca Barkley, and Alyssa Straub.
