About the Program

The Manufacturing Operations Management certificate is designed to give the student a basic understanding of the principles involved in developing and managing a process from input through the finished product. It is intended to complement an existing major and enrich career opportunities/professional development. The Lean Manufacturing, Quality and Operations Management, and Purchasing courses are accompanied by one of the following electives (Leadership, Production Processes, or Industrial Engineering) based on the individual’s interests. The certificate assists in preparing graduates who pursue careers in quality/production control, manufacturing and purchasing.
