Human Resource Managers are strategic business partners that help drive business success by attracting, developing, rewarding, and retaining an organization’s most valuable asset – their employees.
Students enrolled in Ferris State University’s Human Resource Management program will be provided the basic building blocks of knowledge needed to gain entry into the Human Resource profession.
HR students will have an opportunity to study: employment law, compensation, employee benefits, negotiations, recruitment and selection, cross cultural business, labor economics, and HR cases related to current workforce trends. Students are required to complete at least one HR internship(s).
Students pursuing their Bachelor’s in HRM will also receive a well-rounded business background by taking classes in management, marketing, accounting, and finance, computer information systems, and international business.
Ferris State University’s Human Resource Management program is aligned with the Society of Human Management (SHRM), the premier National Human Resource Professional Association, curriculum recommendations. In addition, FSU’s Human Resource Management program is also nationally accredited by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP).
