The Associate of Applied Science in Accountancy can lead to a highly respected and rewarding career. It can prepare you for a variety of entry-level jobs in industry, government, not-for-profit organizations, and many professional service organizations that require an understanding of the language of business. The program provides a solid basis in accounting as well as the related computer skills that are critical to employers. While some students complete the program as a step towards further study, the degree also prepares students for entry-level positions such as accounting/payroll clerks, bookkeepers or accounting assistants. The degree can open doors for business positions that provide solid earnings potential.
The Associate of Applied Science in Accountancy is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools & Programs (ACBSP).

One course is required with a minimum of 3 credits: must be a lab course.
Three courses are required with a minimum of 9 credits: must be from two different disciplines, have at least one 200 level or higher course, and have no more than 5 credits from Cultural Competency Activities.
