Architecture and Sustainability Students Create 2013 ArtPrize Piece

The Architecture and Sustainability graduating class of 2013 created an installation titled: FORTY-ONE 32. The piece was on display at ArtPrize in Grand Rapids from Sept. 18-Oct. 6, 2013 at the Western Michigan University building. The hanging installation suspended 4,132 reused plastic bags and was an exploration in sustainability. Visitors were encouraged to interact and move through the art while increasing their understanding of how an everyday object can be manipulated to create an immersive environment.
