Effective January 1, 2026, the minimum wage is increased to $13.73 per hour. Based upon this information, we are updating our student wage levels as outlined below. As a reminder from earlier communications, students below the minimum wage rate will be adjusted by Human Resources. Any other request for changes must go through your division budget approval process. The Student Employment office must approve of any exception to the approved posted pay rates. Requests for exceptions must be submitted in writing to the Student Employment Office. Request must include the requested pay rate and the justification for the higher rate of pay such as special skills and experience required. Please note, budget is not the only consideration for requests to pay a higher rate than listed below. Pay compression and equity are also reviewed among other factors.
