Women In Engineering Technology

Across the world, women continue to be underrepresented in engineering technology and related fields.  The College of Engineering Technology is committed to supporting females within the College as well as in surrounding communities to encourage more women to pursue and persist in engineering technology fields.  Companies recognize the value a diversity of perspectives brings to their organizations and are eager to hire more females so that their workforce can be more representative of our population.

The job growth and opportunities for female engineers are strong, and many of the programs are recognized by the federal government (Perkins) as preparing students for high wage and high demand jobs.  Aside from the tremendous career opportunities tied to these programs, they position graduates to make a difference in the world in a wide variety of industries.  Graduates are employed in organizations that develop medical products, are committed to environmentally friendly products and sustainability, companies that design products to make the lives of others better, and more.
