Women desiring prescription contraceptives should make an appointment to visit the contraceptive clinic at the Birkam Health Center. Before receiving a prescription, you will receive instruction on various contraceptive methods and STD's. After a thorough evaluation, the doctor will talk to you about which contraceptive is best for you (i.e. IUD, Subdermal Implant, birth control pills, patch, vaginal ring, DEPO-PROVERA shot or condoms). At this appointment you may also have a full physical including pap smear, breast exam and pelvic exam if appropriate.
