Biography

Michael T. Bomay: I am an Assistant Professor for the School of Criminal Justice within the College of Business at Ferris State University. I earned my Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice from Ferris in 1993. I worked in the law enforcement capacity for 28 years as a Deputy for the Wayne County Sheriff Department in Detroit and a Sergeant with the Michigan Department of Natural Resources Law Enforcement Division. I returned to Ferris and earned my Master's Degree in Criminal Justice Administration in 2009. In 2010, I was offered an adjunct instructor position teaching multiple undergraduate courses for the criminal justice program. In 2023, I became a full-time tenure-track Assistant Professor. I am currently earning my Doctorate Degree through Western Michigan University with an anticipated graduation date of 2027.
